Key Activities
The Centre runs a Computer Club that meets every Saturday. The Club conducts events that help in sharing knowledge of the latest technology and arranges industrial visits as well. Its annual exhibition of ‘Best out of Computer Waste’ is a toasted affair on the campus. Students get a platform to showcase their creative skills; a separate section for hardware-based model-making using new technology is demonstrated.
The Computer Centre also acts as the technical support for all the on-campus institutions. The best example for this is that it has been instrumental in introducing a successful computerised students election process in the Kishor Vidyalaya. The Centre also conducts computer training programmes for staff members of all the institutes of Sheth C. N. Vidyavihar.
Text Book Publication
The Computer Centre publishes computer subject text books for standard 4 to 8. Qualified and experienced staff of the computer centre prepare syllabus for these text books according to the computer text books of 9 to 12 std. published by Government of Gujarat.
Newsletter
With the aim of spreading awareness about Information Technology among the students, the Computer Centre brings out ‘Computer Vision’ – a half-yearly newsletter carrying latest news and information from the computer and technological field. Information is presented in a lucid manner for the students to understand.
