Message from the Principal

History has witnessed that art is and will remain an integral part of society. Society without art seems dry and dull. From the basic needs of human life to comfort and planning for the future, art has been very essential. From the invention of the stone wheel to the success of Chandrayaan 3, art has been linked in one way or another. That is why the education of art is so necessary, it has been proven right at all times. Our Art Institute at Ahmedabad is the only grant-in-aid institution providing education to students in the field of visual arts, where even students from ordinary homes strive to prepare themselves to contribute to the field of art in their own unique way.

Having been teaching art for the past 23 years, I feel that art can never really be taught to anyone, but to encourage the artist in students to do art by giving them the right guidance. Work is done in an art institution. When I was given the job of principal along with this teaching job, I realized how difficult the job of administration is for an art teacher. But I try to do that task sincerely.
