Co-curricular Activites

DSC_6021Co-curricular activities are devised in such a way that all the students get an opportunity to build overall personality. Throughout the year students celebrate various social, religious and national festivals. Students take part in various activities like garba, dance, vocal music, instrumental music, mono acting, drama, story telling etc.

Those who are interested in chanting “Gita” shlokas are given practice by the volunteers from Chinmaya Mission and Adhyatma Vidya Mandir.

Students are exposed to learn drawing , music and art from the 1st standard.They regularly participate in national and international level competitions and take home numerous prizes.The school itself conducts many art competitions like painting, mehandi,rangoli, diya decoration,rakhi making, elocution, singing-solo and group etc.Students creativity also gets expressed through clay and craft activities in the class-room. For physical development of the students , games and sports are encouraged among students. Gymnastics is also introduced from this session (2017-18) for the students in academic studies in 1st and 2nd std.
Students are also prepared for their social responsibility by organizing activities like “samooh jeevan”(community living), plantation in school premises ,donating green plants, collecting and distributing books , toys, clothes to the poor and needy children.Once or twice in a year , the school conducts joint activities with shelters and NGO affiliated students in the school premises.
Every two years the school organizes an exhibition – cum – fair called “Bal Mela”- a platform where students along with their parents can participate and showcase their creativity and entrepreneurship.

Student Life

IMG-20130909-WA002The student starts their day with the recitation of prayers during assembly. It also includes singing of songs, a good thought of the day, reading of daily news, English rhymes and some educational or cultural performances by the students.
Students are encouraged to bring healthy and homemade snacks to school. Teachers regularly check students’ lunch boxes to see what they have brought and whether they have finished their eatables.
During winter session, students are taken on a day long picnic or excursion to nearby place. During Diwali break and summer vacation, two or three days nature camps are also organized. Students enthusiastically participate in adventure and nature camps.

Teacher Training

To provide sound academic background, the school has well trained and highly qualified staff. From time to time teachers are given refreshers training to keep them update with new teaching aids and to make education interesting for students. Teachers are also encouraged to attend seminars and workshops.
